Why is the cork firmly secured in the bottle, and why can it sometimes be more difficult to open?
The cork provides a very tight seal, helping to preserve the carbonation and character of Karmeliet Grand Cru Brut. This allows the beer to maintain the right pressure in the bottle, protecting its fine bubbles and flavour until the moment of serving. This is also in line with the traditional approach used for high-quality sparkling wines, where a secure closure is essential to preserving pressure and quality. The firm cork is a reflection of the care and attention we put into protecting the quality of every bottle of beer.

The bottle is difficult to open. What should I do?
Hold the bottle at a 45° angle, keep your thumb on the cork, and carefully rotate the bottle, not the cork, until it opens safely.
